At Everside, data security and patient trust are of paramount importance. Our team worked diligently to achieve HITRUST certification using the HITRUST CSF, a comprehensive, flexible, and efficient framework designed to measure and manage information security controls that safeguard sensitive healthcare data.  Achieving and maintaining HITRUST certification for our information technology systems ensures those we serve can be confident the data they share with us is safe and secure.

HITRUST is an organization that sets rigorous safeguarding standards for electronic medical records, personal health information, and other sensitive data. In order to receive certification, a healthcare company must show that their information technology systems meet these standards, demonstrating the utmost commitment to the data security and privacy of patient data.

While nearly all healthcare companies must comply with HIPAA security standards, which is a crucial baseline for protecting patient health information, HITRUST raises the bar even further. By incorporating an extensive range of security controls that are more comprehensive than HIPAA alone, HITRUST certification represents an even stronger commitment to patient safety, trust, and protection.

“One of our core values here at Everside Health is ‘Patients’ First’. That means every decision we make – at the corporate or clinical level – starts with what is best for our patients. Through that lens, the move towards earning HITRUST certification was an easy one to make. Safety and security are critical components of high-quality care, and this demonstrates our commitment to that.”

We are incredibly proud of the work done by our teammates to achieve this goal and look forward to continuing our work to put our patients first.
