Scott Davidson, MD

Dr. Scott Davidson is a board certified family physician who received his medical degree in 1998 from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, followed by residency training through 2001 at Florida Hospital Orlando. He then went on to complete a fellowship in obstetrics in 2002 at the University of Alabama Birmingham. Over the years, Dr. Davidson has practiced a full scope family medicine with a strong focus on obstetrics and pediatrics, first in Alabama and then rural Colorado. In 2008, he relocated to Pueblo where he worked with the Pueblo Community Health Center and Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency program, initially as a part time and then full time educator of family medicine residents. In the last few years, he worked with teams to innovate the obstetrics training, develop an evidence based medicine program, improve the quality of pain management, and he mentored new physicians. Dr. Davidson practices direct primary care with a deep desire to work with patients in a relationship-style practice. He believes that health is impacted by diet, activities, habits, and emotions. He, therefore, focuses on improving health through teamwork and partnership between patients, physicians, and the entire healthcare team. He believes in keeping up with the latest proven science and combining it with a knowledge of who his patients are and what they value, being available when they need his help, and in leading a healthcare team to empower his patients to seek both the longevity and quality of life they desire.
