Jason Mehrtens MD, MD

Dr. Jason Mehrtens completed his family medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in 2003 after entering medical school on a military scholarship. He then served four years as an active duty physician at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. After separating from the Army, he completed a three-year fellowship in adolescent medicine. He then went onto work for Washington University in St. Louis providing primary care for undergraduate and graduate students. Most recently, Dr. Mehrtens served as a general family medicine doctor at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine. Dr. Mehrtens chose to practice medicine at Everside Health because he has ample time to educate his patients and ensure they are well-informed. He believes that knowledgeable patients are more likely to follow recommendations for their health, and that longer appointment times allow for these important conversations to unfold. Dr. Mehrtens strives for transparency and clarity, believing communication is the foundation of solid medical care. An avid music fanatic, Dr. Mehrtens has over 17,000 CDs and musical trivia is his idea of a perfect time! His absolute favorite thing, however, is spending time with family. He's been married for 23 years and has three children (ages 16, 13, and 10).
