Michelle Rensel, MS, RN, FNP-C, brings decades of experience to her role as a primary care provider with Everside Health. Working first as an acute care nurse and then as a Family Nurse Practitioner in hospitals and clinics across the U.S., Michelle has spent her career supporting patients using an evidence-based and collaborative approach. Michelle started her career as a registered nurse after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Florida International University. She practiced nursing for nearly 10 years in various hospital settings, including intensive care, emergency department, and endoscopy. Michelle then returned to school to earn her Master of Science with a Family Nurse Practitioner designation at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. As a nurse practitioner, Michelle has practiced in areas ranging from family medicine to urgent care to gastroenterology. Most recently, Michelle was the lead provider at a direct primary care clinic in Medford, OR. Growing up as a child of immigrants in an underserved community, Michelle witnessed gaps in healthcare and other services. Today, Michelle is committed to providing high-quality care to all patients regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. She was drawn to Everside Health because its proactive approach to healthcare allows her to steer away from high-cost, depersonalized healthcare, and instead focus on her patients and their families. As Michelle puts it, ?I want to be part of the solution.? When she?s not seeing patients, Michelle enjoys singing in community choirs, whitewater kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring new destinations. She and her husband are certified sailors and have sailed mono-hauls and catamarans in the British Virgin Islands, Thailand, and most recently, Belize. Michelle is bilingual and bicultural, and communicates with patients in both Spanish and English.
