Melissa Mork, FNP

Melissa Mork grew up in South Dakota and attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities as a biology major. While working as an assistant in a post graduate lab, she realized that she needed a future with people instead of Petri dishes. Her love for medicine and people lead her to attend the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she completed her BSN in 2005. She then worked in the Houston Medical Center ICU while attending UTMB for her master’s degree in nursing. Melissa became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010 through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. After moving back to the Midwest, Melissa spent some years working for a large local private health care system where she realized the issue of today’s healthcare. Time with the patient is the most important medicine. Everside Health is the perfect opportunity to allow her to provide her patients with compassion, dedication, and true personized care. A relationship with the patient is Melissa’s goal to optimize health progression. She most looks forward to getting to know her patients as individuals and addressing their “must haves” as well as educating them to be their best self. Ultimately, she is excited to see the positive health outcomes that come from building trust and a safe environment to grow. Outside of medicine, Melissa enjoys traveling, gardening, boating, and spending time with her family. Her husband has recently bought her golf clubs this year and is patiently waiting for her to improve her skills. She has a love for all animals and owns a 90 lb. Mastiff mutt, a 17 year-old stray cat, a salamander, and several fish.
