Megan Montecalvo, FNP

Megan Montecalvo, FNP, brings years of experience to her role as a primary care provider (PCP) at Everside Health. Megan has extensive training and expertise treating patients of all ages across a variety of healthcare settings. Originally from the east coast, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College in Rhode Island. After several years working at a hospital in Massachusetts, Megan returned to school to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from Regis College School of Science and Health Professionals. While completing her graduate training, Megan worked a nearby rehabilitation center, where she was promoted to Charge Nurse and tasked with supervising overnight shifts for the entire facility. After graduating, Megan relocated to Colorado and worked at Swedish Medical Center in the multi-trauma unit (MTU) caring for patients with serious injuries and disabilities. The unit earned national distinction during Megan's tenure, and she was involved in training new nurses while serving as a nurse leader on the MTU floor. Megan then transitioned into outpatient care as Nurse Practitioner and Clinic Manager for a primary and urgent care center where she treated patients for a variety of acute and chronic health issues. Megan's care philosophy is to listen and work with her patients to give them the tools they need to succeed. She loves blending the 'old school' way of medicine with new, exciting advancements. Megan wants to empower patients to seek optimal health and wellbeing through preventive care and lifestyle changes. She believes the patient and provider are a team working in collaboration to set and achieve goals in the pursuit of wellness. When she isn't seeing patients, Megan spends her time enjoying all that Colorado has to offer including skiing, hiking, camping, cycling and gardening. She is often accompanied by her partner, Trevor, and her Australian Shepherd, Yogi Bear.
