Kelly O'Malia is a board-certified family medicine physician who earned her medical degree at Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1996 and completed her residency in family medicine at the Summa Health System in Akron in 1999. Dr. O'Malia has served as clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine since 2016. Dr. O'Malia began working as a family physician in Orwell, Ohio, as part of a multispecialty group. A few years later, she worked as an urgent care physician at the same hospital, and eventually opened a solo family practice in Bristolville, Ohio, where she worked from 2003 to 2012. The small town location created a very traditional practice; Dr. O'Malia cared for multiple generations and branches of the same family. In 2013, Dr. O'Malia moved to Madison, Ohio, where she delivered urgent care and primary care. She relocated to be closer to her son, who was starting kindergarten in the school system where her husband works as a biology teacher. Dr. O'Malia believes that a strong doctor-patient relationship forms the foundation of a superior medical experience. She wants her patients to feel comfortable sharing sensitive information with her, because the more that she knows about a person's lifestyle and values, the better she is able to personalize a medical treatment plan. Dr. O'Malia chose to join Everside Health so she can help patients achieve health and wellness by addressing all the variables contributing to a person's health status. In her personal time, Dr. O'Malia likes to read and quilt. She also enjoys traveling with her family. National parks, zoos, aquariums, and historical sites are favorite destinations. Dr. O'Malia is an identical twin.
