Amy Jo Friedman, MD

Dr. Friedman grew up in northeastern Ohio and attended Northeast Ohio Medical University, graduating in 1995. She completed a year of surgical residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, OH before transitioning to family medicine and completing her residency in 1999. She has worked with several groups since then, including Kaiser Permanente in Akron, OH followed by University Hospitals in Akron, OH. She has been practicing medicine for 22 years. When not working, Dr. Friedman loves CrossFit and cake decorating. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking, and—thanks to one of her patients—turning wood to make pens, bowls, and even jump rope handles. Dr. Friedman is looking forward to spending one-on-one time with her patients to discuss their health, help them understand their illnesses, and work together to create a wellness plan moving forward.
