Pragya Lowers Cholesterol with Lifestyle Changes

I gained weight during the pandemic, and I also found out I had high cholesterol.

I’ve never had muscle strength or been physically fit and strong, so I scheduled an appointment at the Be Well Health Center, which I can access through my Marathon Health benefits at RMS Company.

At the center, I discussed my biometric results with Nurse Practitioner Linnea Ritter. I felt like she really listened to my issues and provided the right information to start my health journey. She helped me realize it’s not just about losing weight, but about being healthy inside and out.

I started going to the gym three to five times a week and doing high-intensity interval workouts. I also added more physical activities to my daily life, including walking in my neighborhood and dancing. I watch what I eat and consume more vegetables and fruits. I now have a routine for eating, working out and sleeping, which are all important aspects of good health.

Today, I would say my health is excellent. I feel great and I’m confident. When I saw my numbers at my latest visit, it was the happiest day of my entire life. Both my waist size and my body mass index decreased, I lost 17.5 pounds and my cholesterol — as well as all my other numbers — are now within the normal range. Get help from Marathon Health.
