Kelly Lost Over 50 Pounds with Diet and Exercise Advice

I was feeling awful, so I decided to visit Eva Schmidt, FNP, at the Live Well Center to discover what was wrong. All of my health-related numbers came back normal in relation to my body max index and blood sugar levels. However, I found out I had prediabetes as a result of my weight. This was a huge wakeup call.

Not only was I physically unhealthy due to the extra weight, I was also depressed and ashamed for letting my health decline so much. Along with a lack of energy, I suffered from aches and pains in my joints. I also had skin and stomach issues from the foods I was consuming.

Eva became an amazing partner in my success, leading me to lose 55 pounds in five months. The biggest change I made was to learn to love myself in a way that motivates me to put healthy food and drink in my body. I have also picked up more physical hobbies such as kayaking, hiking, and yoga. My blood sugar levels are now normal, I have higher self-esteem, my energy levels are great, and I am able to keep up with my kids and pets. Simply put – I feel amazing!

My advice? It is important to trust the process. I thought I could do this on my own, but in my experience, it never lasts. This time is different because I have a team to back me up and keep me on my healthy path. I cannot stress enough how much the Live Well Center team has helped me through this journey.
